Virgil Lee Coffey, 74, died Tuesday night at the home of his, Elmer F. Coffey in Lancaster, Pa.
Mr. Coffey was born in Love, the son of the late Floyd Lee and Mary Jane Weaver Coffey. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Hewitt Coffey, who died in 1935.

He had been making his home in Lancaster for the past eight years. He was a retired employee of the Lehigh Portland Cement Company of Fordwick, where he was employed for 25 years. He is a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Augusta Springs.

Mr. Coffey is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Hessie L. Maser Jr. of Lancaster; four sons, Thomas L. and Elmer F. of Lancaster, Zandy A. of Staunton, and William L. Coffey of Richmond.

Also, six sisters, Mrs. Martha Arnold, Mrs. Mary Etta Everitt, Mrs. Theresa Coffey and Mrs. Ella Fitzgerald of Lyndhurst, Mrs. Minnie A. Campbell of Stuarts Draft, and Mrs. Murlvinia Gregory of Waynesboro; one brother, Zandy Coffey of Lyndhurst and ten grandchildren.

The body will arrive in Waynesboro Friday morning and will remain at Etter Funeral Home. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the Etter Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery.
