Syble Sammons Coffey, 83, of Bloomington, died Sunday, July 13, 2003. She was born September 11, 1919 in Parkdale, Arkansas to the late Thomas Eugene and Susan Smith Sammons. Mrs. Coffey was an active member of First Baptist Church of Bloomington. She was employed by Bloomington Independent School District for 17 years. She was then employed by Citizens Medical Center for 25 years. Survivors: son, Joe W. Coffey and wife, Sue of Bloomington; grandchildren, Stephanie Ward and husband, Kevin of Bay City, W. Joe Coffey and wife, Tammy of Victoria, and Shawn White of Victoria; great grandchildren, Landen Ward, Katelynn and Kaleb Coffey, Haylie and Dawson White; sister, Lena Sammons Reed of Crawford, Colorado. Preceded in death by: her husband, Walter Joe of 25 years, sister, Adele Beckley and brother, Carl Ertle. Services were held 3 pm Wednesday at First Baptist Church in Bloomington, with Pastor Marcos Gohlke officiating. Burial will be at Crescent Valley Cemetery and is to be scheduled at a later date. Pallbearers: Jackie Bayer, Dan Blanton, Max Fuentes, Kenneth Marshall, Martin "Pee Wee" Robles Jr., and Sammy Robles. Memorial donations made to First Baptist Church in Bloomington
