She was born at Love on May 4, 1901, a daughter of the late Silas [sic] and Eliza Coffey. She was a member of the Mountain View Mennonite Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Harry H. Henderson on Nov. 24, 1963. She is survived by four sons, Earl L. Henderson, Mathias J. Henderson and Bobby Wayne Henderson, all of Lyndhurst and Clayborn L. Henderson of Fishersville; three sisters, Mrs. John (Ninnie) Coffey of Love, Mrs. Helen Hewitt of Lyndhurst and Mrs. Myrtle Wilhelm of Waynesboro; nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow in the Mountain View Mennonite Church, conducted by the Rev. Charles Ramsey, the Rev. Vance Brydge and Ron Henderson, with interment in the church cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Woodrow Hewitt, Wilson Hewitt, Robert Lowe, Jesse Bridge, Boyd Coffey, Willie Henderson, Ray Coffey and Reginald Hatter. Honorary pallbearers will be Dennis Henderson, Anthony Henderson, Douglas Henderson, Steve Henderson, Martin Toman, Willie Dedrick, Charles Campbell, Leland Coffey, Emanuel Hewitt and Donald Umbarger. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 tonight in Etter Funeral Home. Alda P. Coffey and Harry Huston Henderson were married. Harry Huston Henderson was born on 11 August 1899 in Lyndhurst, Augusta Co., VA. He registered for the WWI draft on 12 September 191814831 Harry died on 24 November 1963 at the age of 64 in Waynesboro, Independent City, VA and was buried at Mountain View Mennonite Church Cemetery in Sherando, Augusta Co., VA on 25 November 1963.14832 |
