She was born in Littlefield June 17, 1940 to David and Margaret Harmon. She married Ronald D. Coffee of White Deer July 29, 1967. They lived in Dallas until their move to Norcross, Ga. in 1986. Pat graduated from Amherst High School, McMurray University, and North Texas State University. She taught elementary school for 36 years in Texas and Georgia. Pat was active in Simpsonwood United Methodist Church serving in various capacities with the church and the United Methodist Women. Her daughter, Gwendolyn, preceded her in death in 1969. Surviving family members are her husband of 37 years, Ron; her son, Lance of Norcross, Ga.; her son, Kent, wife Meghan, and grandson, Phoenix, of Atlanta, Ga.; her daughter, Emily, husband Billy, and grandchildren Scott, Ansley and Luke of Rome, Ga. Other surviving family members are her sister, Nelloyd and husband Rev. Jarrell Tharp of Powell, Wy.; sister, Joy and husband Harvey Patterson of Amherst. Loving extended family includes three nephews and six nieces. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 7, 2004, at the White Deer Cemetery with the Rev. Jarrell Tharp officiating and under the direction of Carmichael Funeral Home of Pampa. The family suggests memorials to the Amherst Public School Library, Amherst, Texas.
