August 15, 1955 will be held at 2 p.m. at the Methodist church with Rev. Chas. E. Hoole officiating. Mr. Coffey died of a heart attack, while on his way home from work. He was born in Denton County, Texas Nov. 21, 1887, spending his early life around Roff. He lived in Davis for 25 years before going to California, where he had been the past 9 years. He was a member of the Methodist church of Davis. Also a member of the Tyre Lodge No. 42. Survivors besides his wife, Mrs. Clara Coffey, include 2 sons, Harold E. of Whittier, Calif. And Albert C. of Davis; 3 daughters, Mrs. Roy West of Oklahoma City, Mrs. Eddie Werda of Norwalk, Calif. And Mrs. Al Crappo of La Harbra and 9 grandchildren. Interment will be in Greenhill Cemetery with Bahner Funeral Home in charge. There will be Masonic services at the graveside. Walter is said to have married Lydia Fulfer Dollarhide, the widow of Samuel Dollarhide some time in the early 1950's. He died in 1955. Lydia's obituary names her as the "loving mother of the late Albert Coffey." Albert was the fourth child of Walter and his wife Clara. Upon Walter's death he was returned to OK and buried with Clara while Lydia was buried in OK with her first husband Samuel. The question remains, did Walter and Clara divorce? She was preceded in death by her husband Walter C. Coffey in 1955. Also preceded in death by a son & daughter & 4 brothers. Services under the direction of Bahner-Fox Funeral Home of Davis.
