Melba was born April 1, 1926, in Globe, Arizona to Marie (Van Vorhess) and Oscar Clendennen. She was the second of five children, all of whom preceded her in death. She married Neal McCaskill on February 11, 1950. Survivors include husband, Neal of Midland; daughter, Jane Cappadonna and husband Johnny of Midland; daughter, Laura Jurado and husband Daniel of Greeley, CO; daughter, Lindy Lawson of Indianapolis, IN; daughter-in-law, Mary Alice McCaskill of Seguin, TX; grandchildren, Michael, Tony, Jenny, Chris, Tony, Alex and Catie; and 11 great grandchildren.
