Coffey, 75, of Shelbyville, Indiana, passed away Monday, Sept. 11, 2017, at MHP Medical Center in Shelbyville. He was born June 19, 1942, in Russell Springs, Kentucky, the son of Wilber Lee Coffey and Orpha Wooten. He was raised by his stepfather, Hollis Hudson. Archie was married to Darlene (Leffler) Coffey until her death. Then he married Nina (McDonald) until her death. He married Sara (Lee) Coffey and she preceded him in death. He is survived by son, Kevin Coffey, of Shelbyville; daughters, Leianna Kent and Susan Aulby, of Shelbyville; stepsons, Shaun Keller, Erik Killen and Bill Hitchcock; stepdaughters, Briana Heck and Brenda Elliott; brothers, Ronald and Timothy Hudson, of Russell Springs; sisters, Carol Richards, of Jamestown, Kentucky, and Sharon Warriner, of Russell Springs; along with 17 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by sister, Kathryn Perez. He worked for General Electric until his retirement. He was a member Local 836 and served as president. After his retirement he was a dump truck driver for several years for several different companies. He was a member of Lewis Creek Baptist Church. Visitation will be Sunday, Sept. 17, 2017, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service. Funeral service will be held Monday, Sept. 18, 2017, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Edwin Mohr officiating. Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville. Memorials may be given to the Cancer Association of Shelby County.
