"Born Callie Ann Hall, when Janice was a young child she was placed for adoption. She was adopted by Rev. Charles and Mrs. Velma Norman. She lived in their home until Rev. Norman died. She then went to live in the home of her biological sister, Ruth/Mable.

"By the age of 17, Janice is living in the home of Rev. Alex Eckert and his wife who had adopted Ruth/Mable as a young child. Janice changes her name from Evelyn to Janice when she comes to live with the Eckerts."
