Mary Coffey and Adam C. Sherrill were married. Adam C. Sherrill, son of John Durham Sherrill and Mary Ann Oxford, was born on 15 July 1840 in Burke Co., NC. He lived with his mother in Lenoir, Caldwell Co., NC on 16 July 1860. He lived with his nephew Isaac Swanson in Lower Creek Twp., Caldwell Co., NC on 6 June 1900.⁶¹⁸⁷ Adam died of chronic nephritis on 7 April 1928 at the age of 87 in Lower Creek, Caldwell Co., NC and was buried at the Sherrill Family Cemetery in Lenoir, Caldwell Co., NC on 9 April 1928.⁶¹⁸⁸
