1670. Hannah Roxanna "Roxie" Coffey¹⁵⁷⁰ was born on 19 September 1857 in North Carolina.¹⁵⁷⁰ She lived with her parents in Towns Co., GA on 17 June 1880. Hannah Roxanna renounces right to administer her father's estate. circa August 1881 in Clay Co., NC. She mentioned as child of Athan Coffey in Plott petition to administer Athan's estate on 24 June 1882 in Clay Co., NC. She appeared in the census on 9 June 1900 in Brasstown, Clay Co., NC.⁶²⁵⁶ Roxie appeared in the census on 27 April 1910 in Grayson Co., TX.⁶²⁵⁷ She lived with her son Luther N. Evans in Lubbock, Lubbock Co., TX on 27 January 1920. She lived with her son Frank E. Evans in Littlefield, Lamb Co., TX on 17 April 1930. Hannah died of acute broncho pneumonia on 30 November 1946 at the age of 89 at St. Vincent Hospital in Sherman, Grayson Co., TX and was buried at West Hill Cemetery in Sherman, Grayson Co., TX on 1 December 1946.^6258,6259

Hannah Roxanna "Roxie" Coffey and Joseph Bradley Byers were married on 5 January 1875 in Towns Co., GA.⁶²⁶⁰ Joseph Bradley Byers was born in 1851 in Haywood Co., NC. Joseph died in 1878 at the age of 27 in Towns Co., GA and was buried at Old Union Cemetery in Young Harris, Towns Co., GA.⁶²⁶¹

Hannah Roxanna "Roxie" Coffey and Joseph Bradley Byers had the following children:

5148	i.	Ephriam Smith Byers was born on 1 October 1876 in Towns Co., GA or North Carolina. Ephriam died in Warne, Clay Co., NC on 24 October 1959 and was buried at Mount Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery in Hayesville, Clay Co., NC in October 1959 .⁶²⁶²

Hannah Roxanna "Roxie" Coffey and James P. Evans were married on 17 July 1881 in Clay Co., NC.⁶²⁶³ James P. Evans was born circa 1845 in Georgia. James died in Clay Co., NC in March 1898.⁶²⁶⁴

An inventory dated Jun 13, 1898 and signed by G. W. Fleming and W. J. R. McConnell in Brasstown Twp., Clay Co., NC listed all of the personal property and the value thereof belonging to the estate of James P. Evans. This property was assigned and allotted to R. A. [sic] [Roxanna] Evans, his widow.

In another document found in the estate file of James was one dated 20 or perhaps 30 June, 1898 in which his children were named, apparently in birth order although no dates are given. It does indicate that they were "minors," e.g., under the age of 21. Listed were: Virgin, Luther, George, Myrtle, Martie and Frank. Jennie was born after her father's death.
