Born on Jan. 25, 1924, in Ravia, Okla., to the late Fred Dale and Mary Irene Norville Coffey, he died on Nov. 7, 2004, in Ardmore. A lifetime resident of Ravia, he graduated from high school there and received his master's degree from East Central University. He was a retired school teacher and member of Ravia Baptist Church. He was an Army veteran of World War II and the Korean conflict and was a member of National Guard. He and his wife, Patsy, were married on Dec. 26, 1957, in Konowa. Survivors include his wife of the home; a son, Danny Coffey and wife, Pam, Ardmore; a sister, Lucy Blankenship, Ardmore; brothers, Jack Coffey, Fairfield, Pa., and Jerry Coffey, Roswell, Ga.; five grandchildren, Jessica Coffey, Chealsi Coffey, Cody Coffey, Kyle Coffey and Connor Coffey, all of Ardmore. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Haskell Coffey; and sister, Edithe Burrell. Bearers will be Frank Blain, Lynn Waller, Randy Bevill, Terry McSwain, Jim Coffey and Randy Nunley. Patsy died at home in Ardmore, Carter Co., OK on 24 November 2015 and was buried at Ravia Cemetery in Ravia, Johnston Co., OK in November 2015 .39470,39471 Obituary, The Daily Ardmoreite, Sun., Adrmore, OK, Nov. 29, 2015 MADILL - Patsy Ruth Coffey, 86, of Ardmore, Oklahoma, passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2015, at her home in Ardmore. She was born on December 10, 1928, in Konawa, Oklahoma, to the late German Leonard Nunley and Myrtle Wano Nunley. Patsy was raised in Konawa and after high school, Patsy worked at a store in Konawa until 1957 when she met and married her husband of 47 years, Dan Coffey. Dan taught school for 38 years and Patsy was a devoted wife during their travels to various schools in Oklahoma and Texas. Patsy worked in the Dietary Department at Johnson County Hospital from the early 1980's until her retirement. Dan and Patsy made many moves during their lives but always came back to their home in Ravia. Patsy was always called on for any occasion that included cooking or baking. She was especially well known for her Peanut Brittle and German Chocolate Cake. Patsy enjoyed gardening, canning and taking care of her family. The grandkids could always count on a root beer float at Grandma Pat's house. Patsy embraced all the many roles of her life, daughter, wife, mother, grandma with loving, caring and selfless manner that will be remembered by all that knew her. She is survived by a son, Danny Coffey and wife Pam, Ardmore, Oklahoma; brother, Frank Nunley and wife, Jo, Wichita, Kansas; sisters, Wanda Watters, Enid, Oklahoma, Shirley Goodwin, Ulysses, Kansas; five grandchildren, Jessica Linnet, Kyle Coffey, Chealsi Putman, Connor Coffey and Cody Coffey; eight great-grandchildren, Kysen, Ryleigh, Brysen, Mary, Zane, Callie, Kimber and Nathan. Patsy was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brothers, Bud and Leonard Nunley. Visitation will be Monday, November 30, 2015, at Watts Funeral Home, Madill, Oklahoma from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. with a family hour from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Services will be Tuesday, December 1, 2015, at 2 p.m. at the Watts Memorial Chapel, Madill, Oklahoma. Music arranged by Trudy Reasoner. Interment will be at the Ravia Cemetery, Ravia, Oklahoma. Casket bearers are Randy Bevill, Terry McSwain, Joe Rhea, Cody Coffey, Kyle Coffey and Connor Coffey.
