188. Salathiel "Sail" Coffey648 was born circa 1791 in North Carolina. He owned on 19 July 1822 in Pulaski Co., KY.649,650

Deed Book 5, p. 81

19 July, 1822, Sale and Anny Coffey, his wife, late Anna Lynch, resident of Cumberland County, Kentucky, to John Lynch of Pulaski County for $108.50 all rights, etc., in tract supposed to be 100a, a part of 200a tract on waters of Cumberland River lying in Pulaski County, Kentucky, on South side thereof, and being place whereon said John Lynch now resides...formerly tract of 200a name of Joseph Matthews, then to William Lynch, and to which said Coffey and wife lay claim by descent from William Lynch, dec'd., and Anna Coffey being a daughter of said William Lynch.

Signed: Sale Coffey
Anna Coffey

Acknowledged before William Fox, clerk of Pulaski County on same date. He owned on 22 February 1841 in Pulaski Co., KY.651

Deed Book 12, p. 496

22 February, 1841, Andrew Lynch of Wayne County, Kentucky, Daniel Natherly and wife Sarah late Lynch, and Anna Coffey, late Lynch, the latter two parties of Russell County, Kentucky, to Samuel Newell their undivided interests, being three-fourths in tract of 200a on Cumberland River...being same granted to William Lynch by patent... to have and to hold the said undivided three-fourths thereof, etc. (Description not clear that this represents three-fourths of the whole 200a, or merely the three-fourths of some part thereof - such as what might have been set aside for the widow. On the other hand there was a mortgage of $1000 against John Lynch held by the estate of William Lynch, dec'd., on the 190a or more that John bought of William just before the death of the latter, but the 200a appeared to be the home place of William and his wife... Mrs. A. S. F.)

"This Salathiel has been confused with Salathiel, son of Salathiel (p. 101)." Some researchers claim "that Salathiel, son of Nebuzaradon, md Mary Blair and that the other Salathiel must have md Anna Lynch." A more detailed research paper by Daraleen Wade [See Coffey Cousins' newsletter, Dec., 91, pp. 4-5] tends to give credence to the Marvin Coffey theory that Salathiel, son of Nebuzaradon, married Anna Lunch and Salathiel, son of Salathiel, married Polly Blair. Note also that Eli Coffey had a son Salathiel who married Nancy Dunbar.

Salathiel "Sail" Coffey and Anna Lynch were married on 19 August 1813 in Pulaski Co., KY.652,653

Anne married Sale Coffey in Pulaski County in 1813, signed deed to her 1/4th land of her father, William, while residing in Saline County, Missouri in 1842.
