Christopher Whiteside and Elizabeth Wilson were married on 20 August 1854 in Casey Co., KY.¹²⁸³³ They^¹²⁸³³ appeared in the census on 5 August 1860 in Liberty, Casey Co., KY.¹²⁸³⁴ They^¹²⁸³⁴ appeared in the census on 8 August 1870 in Sheridan Twp., Cherokee Co., KS.¹²⁸³⁵ Christopher and Elizabeth^¹²⁸³⁵ appeared in the census on 14 June 1880 in Ross Twp., Cherokee Co., KS.¹²⁸³⁶ They^¹²⁸³⁶ appeared in the census on 6 June 1900 in Independence, Montgomery Co., KS.¹²⁸³⁷ Elizabeth Wilson was born on 10 December 1836 in Garrard Co., KY. She appeared in the census on 22 April 1910 in Toronto, Woodson Co., KS.¹²⁸³⁸ Elizabeth resided with her daughter Elizabeth Gottlieb in Bartlesville, Washington Co., OK on 24 January 1920. Elizabeth died in Bartlesville, Washington Co., OK on 28 February 1921 and was buried at Toronto Cemetery in Toronto, Woodson Co., KS in March 1921 .¹²⁸³⁹

9062	iii.	James T. Whiteside¹²⁸⁴⁰ was born circa 1857 in Kentucky. According to The Library of Congress, The Jackson Herald newspaper was published from 1897 to 1911 in Jackson, Cape Girardeau, MO. In 1911 the paper moved to Cape Girardeau and the name changed to Cape County Herald. It changed again in 1914 and it became the Cape Weekly Tribune. By late 1914 the name had changed again to the Weekly Tribune and Cape County Herald. By 1918 it was back to being the Weekly Tribune with James P. [sic] Whiteside as publisher. Note that in the 1910 census, James was a newspaper publisher.
