Howard Coffey was born March 28, 1931 and departed this life Tuesday, July 21, 2015 reaching the age of 84 years. He was the son of the late Alfred Wilburn and Nancy Ethel Coffey. He is survived by: 2 sons, Cantrall Coffey and Trevor Coffey: 6 daughters, Sherri Jo Crossland, Theresa Gibbs, Elaine Taylor, Patti Callis, Nancy Miller, and Lori Coffey; 3 sisters, Barbara Phelan, Juanita Wampler, and Anna Margaret Mason; 19 grandchildren; and 24 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Alfred and Nancy Coffey, he was preceded in death by: his wife, Cleo Coffey; and one step son, Kirby Barnett.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 25, 2015 after 10 a.m. in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 25, 2015 at 2 p.m. at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery. Full military honors will be performed by our local Chapter 105. Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home of Monticello, KY in charge of the arrangements.

Cleo Coffey, age 76, of Monticello, Ky., passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2012, at Golden Years Nursing Home.

She was born August 27, 1935 in Monticello, Ky., the daughter of the late Delbie and Dora (Barnes) Koontz.

She was united in marriage to Arnold Barnett, who preceded her in death.

She was later united in marriage to Howard Coffey, of Monticello, Ky., who survives her in death.

She is survived by five children-Kirby Barnett, of Albany, Ga., Brenda Hickman and Pam Parmley, both of Monticello, Ky., Robin (Allen)Weaver, of Bronston, Ky., and Trevor (Nicole) Coffey, of Monticello, Ky.; seven step-children-Elaine, Sherry Jo, Teresa, Patty, Nancy, Cantrell and Lori; 6 grandchildren-Lance Hickman, Paige Barnhouse, Matthew Parmley, Rachel Dishman, Rylee Jo Weaver and Gabriel Coffey; 10 step-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and eight step-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by three brothers-Edward, Benton and Gary Koontz; and five sisters-Phyllis Neeley, Gwendolyn Morrow, Lorene Barnett, Hazel Dick and Debra Koontz.

She was preceded in death by one brother-Jimmy Koontz; and one sister-Earlene Barnett.

Funeral services were held Saturday, February 25, 2012 at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with Bro. Carly Tucker and Bro. Roy Gregory officiating.

Burial was in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
