COFFEY, MR. JOHN LEE - 83 of Seymour passed away Friday, August 10, 2001 at Fort Sanders Regional Hospital.

Mr. Coffey served in the European Theater in World War II in the 5th Army. He was a member of Marble Springs Baptist Church, Marble, NC, also was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Hancock, NY.

Mr. Coffey was preceded in death by his parents, Smith & Ethel Adams Coffey; wife, Helen Younce Coffey; sisters, Stella Byrd and Blanche Beck; brothers, Clyde & Vance Coffey.

Survived by sister & brother in law, Mildred & Paul Bales; sister in law, Mildred & Paul Bales; sister in law & brother in law, Annette & Sam Rollins and children, Brian, John Rollins, and Sis Mikels; nephews, Merrill & Giles Trull, Ricky, David, Jerry & John Coffey; nieces, Linda Welch, Sharon Teffeteller, Brenda Daugherty, Barbara Ratliff, Becky Mills, and Debbie Lee; sisters in law, Kay Coffey & Buelah Coffey; brothers in law, Sam & Jack Younce; friend and caregiver, Thelma Beaver; friends. Bill and Carolyn Watson, Bill Welch, and Sali Trull; great nieces, Scarlett Householder and Cheryl Houser; great nephew, Pete Teffeteller.

The family will receive friends today Sunday, August 12, 2001 from 6-8:30 p.m. at Highland South Funeral Home. A graveside service will be conducted on Monday, August 13, 2001 at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Melvin Faulkner officiating. John Lee Coffey and Helen Younce were married. Helen Younce was born on 22 May 1922. Helen died in Tennessee on 23 September 1996 and was buried at Highland South Cemetery in Highland Park, Knox Co., TN in September 1996 .³²¹⁷⁰
