1220. Emily Elizabeth Watson was born on 9 November 1825 in Warren Co., KY. Emily died and was buried at on 26 December 1908 at the age of 83 in Ranger, Eastland Co., TX and was buried at Pioneer Cemetery in Ranger, Eastland Co., TX.⁴⁷⁵²

Emily Elizabeth Watson and Cary Watson were married circa 1848. They lived with her parents in Grayson Co., TX on 11 December 1850. They appeared in the census on 7 June 1860 in Grayson Co., TX.⁴⁷⁵³ Emily and Cary^⁴⁷⁵³ appeared in the census on 29 August 1870 in Grayson Co., TX.⁴⁷⁵⁴ They^⁴⁷⁵⁴ appeared in the census on 26 June 1880 in Stephens Co., TX.⁴⁷⁵⁵ They^⁴⁷⁵⁵ lived with their son James C. in Grayson Co., TX on 16 June 1900. Cary Watson was born on 13 October 1820 in South Carolina.⁴⁷⁵⁶

Carey Watson, 1820-1904, came from North Carolina to Bowie County, TX, in about 1840. He was a soldier for the Republic of Texas and received Fannin County 3rd Class Land Grant No. 3582. He married Emily Elizabeth Watson (1825-1908), a colonists from Todd Co., KY, who had his same surname. He developed his land into a large productive farm. At one time he owned 17 slaves.

His parents were James Watson and Rhoda Barfield. His grandfather was Thomas Watson (1754-1836) who fought in the Revolutionary War. His grandmother was Rhoda Brewster. Emily's parents were Coleman Watson and Lucy Coleman. Her grandfathers were Evan Thomas Watson and Samuel Coleman (1752-1824), also a Revolutionary War Veteran. Her grandmother was Mildred Coffey (1765-1823).

The Watson's had four children: Lucy (1848-1938, DRT 2020*), who married Joseph Elliott (1848-1925); Rhoda, Oran; and Jim. Lucy and Joseph were the parents of Emily Augusta (Gussie) Elliott (1873-1951), who married William Rumsey (Billy) Webb (1863-1945), the parents of the Webb family of Graybill, Grayson County; Ocha (1890-1909); Byrd (1891-1971); Willie (1893-1978); Carey (1896-1965); Evalyn (1902-1988), DRT3211); and Weldon (born 1907). Emily Elizabeth Watson and Cary Watson had the following children:
