Mrs. Nora Sheets Wingler, age 99, of Millers Creek, died Friday, June 17, 2016 at Wilkes Senior Village. She was born April 27, 1917 in Wilkes County to Matthew and Mary Bare Sheets. Mrs. Wingler was a member of Poplar Cove Baptist Church. Mrs. Wingler was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lonnie Wingler; daughter, Carol Dancy; and two sons, Dennis and Odell Wingler.

Surviving are her daughter, Marie Anderson and husband Lester of Millers Creek; two sons, Darrell Wingler of Millers Creek, Dwane Wingler and wife Patty of Wilkesboro; sister, Nadene Roten of Millers Creek; fifteen grandchildren; twenty four great grandchildren; and thirteen great great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held 12:00 noon Monday, June 20, 2016 at Miller Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Old Garden Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Miller Funeral Service from 11:00 until 12:00 on Monday, prior to the service. Flowers will be accepted. Miller Funeral Service is in charge of the arrangements. Nora died in North Wilkesboro, Wilkes Co., NC on 17 June 2016 and was buried at Miller Burial Grounds in Traphill, Wilkes Co., NC on 20 June 2016 .³⁰³⁵⁸
