She was a member of a large, well-respected South Adair Co., KY, family Jewell Baker, 85, of Columbia, died Friday, October 15, 2010 at 2:15amCT at Summit Manor Health & Rehab, in Columbia, KY.

The funeral service will be Sunday, October 17, 2010 at 2pmCT, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Greensburg St, Columbia, KY, with Rev. William Davenport officiating. Burial will be in the Antioch Cemetery, 8137 Burkesville Rd, Columbia, KY. Visitation will be after 4pmCT, Saturday, October 17, 2010, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home. 

Jewell Fudge Baker, 85, Adair Co., KY (1925-2010) She was daughter of the the late George and Mary Coffey Fudge. She was born Thursday, March 26, 1925, in Adair County. KY and died Friday, October 15, 2010, in Columbia, Adair Co., KY, at the age of 85 years, 6 months, and 19 days.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Embry Baker, one son, George Baker, three brothers, Oren, Maynard and Homer Fudge, and one sister, Georgia Helen Rowe.

Survivors include the following:  One son: Tim Baker of Columbia, KY One brother: Fred Fudge of Breeding, KY One grandson: Clint Baker of Auburn, KY Grissom-Martin Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Jewell Fudge and Clarence Embry Baker were married. Clarence Embry Baker, son of Eddie Lee Baker and Lillie May Coomer, was born on 8 July 1924 in Kentucky. Clarence died in Jefferson Co., KY on 24 March 1994 and was buried at Antioch Cemetery in Sparksville, Adair Co., KY in March 1994 .⁴⁰⁴⁵⁶
