Jeffrey Alan Coffey, age 56, passed away on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at his home.

Born January 29, 1962 in Caldwell County, Jeff was a son of the late Junior Partee and Minnie Curtis Coffey. Jeff was a graduate of the Hibriten High School class of 1980 and a graduate of CVCC. Jeff loved Bluegrass music and attended many concerts. Jeff volunteered at countless local Bluegrass venues. Jeff was formally employed by MDI, Lane Venture, and Drexel Heritage. He loved helping people, never met a stranger, and was well loved by many. Jeff also enjoyed spending time with his cats. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by a brother in law, William Minton; a niece, Aubrey Rose Coffey.

Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Ginger Coffey; a sister, Patricia Minton of Lenoir; two brothers, J.D. Coffey (wife Cris), Joel Coffey (wife Lisa) both of Lenoir; his nieces and nephews, Tina Dean (husband Ron), Derrick Harrison (wife Deidre), Nathan Minton (wife Danielle), Jessica Gilbert (husband Eric). Travis Coffey (wife Amber), Marc Colvard (fiancé Jaylin); a Sister in law, Wendy Watson; Father in law, Morris Watson; an uncle, Rob Curtis; he is also survived by numerous other relatives.

A visitation celebrating Jeff’s life will be held on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at the Mountain View Baptist Church Fellowship Hall located at 2820 Lum Davis Lane, Lenoir, NC from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
