She was a native of Hancock County and was the wife of the late James Coffey. She was a member of the Paw Paw Missionary Baptist Church. Survivors: sons Rev. Johnny Coffey of Bean Station, Tenn.; James Coffey of Kingsport and Carson Coffey of Thorn Hill; daughter Mrs. Viola Carpenter of Franklin, Ohio; brothers Charels Elrod of Tazewell, Lewis Elrod of Whitewood, Va., Joe Elrod of Ottawa, W. Va., Cline Elrod of Ohio and Roscoe Elrod of Colorado; sisters Mrs. Sally Cadle of Charleston, W. Va. and Mrs. Helen Williams of Prater, W. Va.; 22 grandchildren, 53 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.Funeral services were held 11:00 a.m.Thursday at the Providence Baptist Church with Rev. John Ogan and Rev. Joe Laughner officiating. Burial in the church cemetery. Pallbearers: Elvin, Bruce, Robert, Fred, A. T., Bill, Leonard and J. C. Coffey. James H.
