Mary Ann Allen passed away peacefully April 27, 2014. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 30, at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 4101 E. 105th Terrace, Kansas City, Mo., where the rosary will be prayed at 6 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 1, at the church. Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Kindly omit flowers. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Mary Ann was born March 30, 1929, to Violet and John Rains in West Plains, Mo. She worked and retired from Baptist Hospital as a CNA - Certified Nurse Aid and in the Central Supply. Mary Ann was a lifelong member and volunteer at St. Catherine's for 53 years. She was preceded in death by John "Jack" Allen, loving husband of 62 years, daughter, Sandra, daughter-in-law, Tammy, her parents and sisters, Nellie and Betty. She is survived by her children, Gloria (Pat), Carolyn, Sandy (Joe), Marie (Don), John, Debbie (Phil), Tom (Tammy), Bill (Kerri) and Richard (Kelley), 18 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
