Carmetta was born March 3, 1936 in Great Bend, Kansas. She spent most of her youth there and graduated from Great Bend High School in 1954. It was there in Great Bend, working as a motel clerk, where she was swept off her feet by the love of her life, Lonnie whom she later married. Carmetta, Queenspent the next 47 years with her She became a homemaker and a centerpiece for many family members. She was an accomplished Bridge player and a huge Kansas University Basketball fan. Carmetta loved watching her son coach high school basketball teams, attending and supporting her children's and grandchildren activities, and staying in touch with scores and scores of family members. With a heart the size of Texas or larger she spent 50 years passionately loving and helping her three children, spoiling her four (grandchildren), and loving and smiling for her two great-grandchildren. and 'slove is sacred in all of her family's hearts. She was preceded in death by parents, Rice Ernest Coffee and Verda Jewell Gentry; brothers, Ernest, Audrey, Carl, Kendall, DeVerna, and Lawrence; sisters, Clovis Sullivan, Yvonne Sherwood, Dolores DuBois Parmele; loving husband of 47 years, Alonzo A. She is survived by sisters, Opal Wehnes and Helen Walker; children: son, Lonnie and wife Patricia; daughter, Lonetta; son, Austin; grandchildren, Alexis Sattler(Lollar), Abram, Lauren, and Christian Lollar; great-grandchildren, Hayden and Gwendolyn Sattler and a host of cousins nephews, nieces, and friends. Visitation will be from 1-8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 15 with family and friends sharing from 6-8 p.m. at Smith Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Rd., Derby. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 16 at St. Mary Faith Center, 2300 E. Meadowlark, Derby. Internment will follow at El Paso Cemetery. Lonnie was born August 3, 1935 in Casper, Wyoming. After spending much of his childhood days in Wyoming and Montana, Lonnie graduated from Bridger High School, Bridger, Montana in 1953. Leaving the Sky Country he headed south to Oklahoma and enrolled at University of Tulsa. It was there that he received at B.S. degree in Petroleum Engineering (1958). Shortly after he went to work for Kewanee Oil Company in 1959 and continued to work for them until 1978. It was early in his career that led him to meet the love of his life, his wife of 47 years, Carmetta Coffee. Lonnie spent this time passionately loving and living life through his children and grandchildren. He sponsored numerous athletic teams (CarLon Oil) and was their most avid fan at their sporting events. When he wasn't cheering them on, he was busy golfing, completing crossword puzzles, keeping people in with his humor and wit, running, traveling, and visiting relatives while owning and operating a successful business, CarLon Oil and Gas, founded in 1978. Lonnie's Carpe Diem outlook on life and business touched family and hundreds of friend's lives. He was preceded in death by parents, Alton and Cora Alice Lollar and infant sister, Alice. Survivors: wife, Carmetta Lollar, Derby, KS; son, Lonnie (Patty) of Derby, KS; daughter, Lonetta of Derby, KS; son, Austin of Derby, KS; sisters, Margorie Lollar of CA, Shirley McBride of CA, Dixie Lollar-Stowe of UT, and Genevieve Huber of UT; grandchildren: Alexis, Abram, Lauren & Christian Lollar of Derby, KS; great-grandson: Hayden Sattler and a host of cousins, nephews, nieces and friends. Visitation will be from 9am to 8pm Wednesday at Smith Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Road, Derby with open sharing of personal memories from 6:30 to 8pm; funeral service 10am Thursday at St. Mary Faith Center, 2300 E.
