Burial will be in East Lawrence Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Coffey, who died Saturday, December 29, 2012, at his residence, was born July 6, 1951, in Morgan County to Carl "Shorty" Coffey and Louise Smith Coffey. He retired from International Paper Mill after 42 years of service. He was a devoted husband, father and paw paw. His parents preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, Gwen Warren Coffey; one son, Jeremy Coffey of Trinity; one daughter, Amanda Shockley and husband, Tom, of Huntsville; stepson, Adam Warren; stepdaughter, Heather Boyd; one brother, Andy Coffey of Cullman County; two sisters, Melinda Bain and Nancy Giles, both of Courtland; three grandchildren, Ashleigh Vaughn, Ryanne Coffey and Owen Coffey; and one stepgrandchild, Sadie Warren. Pallbearers will be Perry Stricklin, Keeton Stricklin, Adam Warren, David Compton, Gary Nolan and Chris Terry. A living couple was married. Living (private).
