Alla Marie Congdon, 75, of Haysville, retired electrical assembler, died Thursday, February 4, 2010 at Via Christi St. Francis in Wichita, Kansas. She was born the daughter of Creed Edward and Ann Marie (Folger) Coffey on June 6, 1934 at Washaunga, Oklahoma. She graduated from North High School in Wichita, Kansas in 1952. Alla married Robert Mayer November 25, 1952, and to this union one son, Robert, was born. She lived 45 years in the Haysville area and was an active member of the Haysville United Methodist Church. Alla worked 5 years at Invision in Wichita, where she met John Congdo. They were married 5 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Courtney Oldham, and granddaughter Kayla. Alla is survived by her husband John of Haysville, son Robert of Wichita and one grandson, Clint of Wichita. Graveside services will be held 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at Upchurch Cemetery, Norwich, Kansas. Memorials may be given in Alla's name to the American Diabetes Association. |
