Annie died in Caldwell Co., NC on 29 April 1999 and was buried at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens Mausolem in Lenoir, Caldwell Co., NC on 3 May 1999.36104

Obituary

Annie Lee Crump Whisenant, 82, of Sharpe Place, Lenoir, died Thursday, April 29, 1999, at the residence.

She was born March 10, 1917, in Caldwell County to the late Theodore and Cansadie Coffey Crump. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Ray Whisenant; one son, Timothy Whisenant; one daughter, Joleen Whisenant; one brother, Spencer Crump; five sisters, Minnie Bowen, Mamie Crump, Louise Philway, Kate Jolley and Edna Whisenant; and one grandson.

Mrs. Whisenant was a homemaker and a member of Faith Baptist Church.

Survivors include five sons, Billy Ray Whisenant of Colonial Beach, Va., William Buddy Whisenant of Lenoir, Archie Ray Whisenant and Leonard Johnny Whisenant, both of Patterson and Leroy Whisenant of Dale City, Va.; three daughters, Dorothy "Dot" Hayworth and Bonnie Sharpe, both of Lenoir and Coleen Whisenant of Hickory; one brother, Carl Crump of Globe; one sister, Margaret Phipps of Whitnel; 20 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Monday at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Randy Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the residence, 2371 Sharpe Place, Lenoir.

Mrs. Whisenant's grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
