Donald Lee Chester, 76, of Lenoir passed away Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2014, at Camelot Manor in Granite Falls.

Lenoir, NC- Mr. Donald Lee Chester, age 76, of Lenoir, went home to reunite with his mother, Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at Camelot Manor in Granite Falls. Born February 26, 1937 in Caldwell County, Mr. Chester was a son of the late Arlie Shell and Bessie Clippard Chester.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Rickey Chester and Alan Chester and one brother, David Chester.
He was retired from Bernhardt Furniture Company and loved riding motorcycles, fishing and hunting.
He is survived by his daughter, Donna Cassidy and husband Kenneth of Lenoir; siblings, Bradford Chester and wife Anne of Gastonia; Blanche Miller, Ruby Chester, Ruth Chester, Helen Arney, Eddie Chester and wife Tonya, Linda Shoun, Mabel Keller and Wanda Walker, all of Lenoir and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 1, 2014 from 3:00 until 4:30 PM in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service.
A special Thank You goes to the staff and residents of Camelot Manor for their wonderful care and friendship shown to Mr. Chester.
