Elmer Grove [sic] Lee Coffey, 48, of Elkton, Va., and Roanoke Rapids, N. C.

Police said Coffey was killed early yesterday when the car he was driving ran down an ambankment off U. S. 340, struck a concrete culvert, overturned into a pond and burst into flames. The accident offurred about three mones north of Waynesboro.
