She lived with her parents in Martinsville, Morgan Co., IN on 20 January 1920. Lucy lived with her parents in Martinsville, Morgan Co., IN on 22 April 1930. Lucinda was a boarder with Susan Hagan and employed as a bookkeeper in a retail grocery store in Dallas, Dallas Co., TX on 2 April 1940.21061 Lucinda enlisted in the Women's Army Corps in 1943 at Dallas, Dallas Co., TX. Lucinda died in San Antonio, Bexar Co., TX on 19 March 2015. On July 27, 2014 Lucy was the oldest living female WW2 veteran. She was born in Martinsville, Morgan Co., IN May 1906 and was in Dallas, TX working at an A&P store when the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor. Two years later, in 1943, and following passage of act to allow women into the armed services, she joined the Women's Army Corps. Her service took her from Dallas to Japan and then to San Antonio after the war. She was awarded two Bronze Medals for her service. Lucy never married or had children.
