Sister Eva Mae Dalton, daughter of W. B. and Eliza Jones Shockley was born November 3, 1886. She was married to P. P. Dalton August 18, 1907. To this union was born seven children, three boys and four girls. All living. She professed faith in Christ in the year 1908 and joined the Oak Hill Baptist church where she remained a faithful member until death. She was a loving wife and mother, and was loved by all who knew her. She died February 1, 1930. She leaves a husband, seven children, mother, two brothers, two sisters and a host of relatives and friends to mourn their loss. Written by a sister, Mrs. Etta Cooke.

Eva Mae Shockley and Perry Dalton were married on 15 August 1907 in Grainger Co., TN. Perry Dalton, son of Wiley Dalton and Jane Harville, was born in October 1884 in Tennessee. Perry died in Hamblen Co., TN on 18 April 1969 and was buried at Dalton Cemetery in Bean Station, Grainger Co., TN in April 1969 .23042
