Helen Elaine Coffey Bryant, 76, passed away Monday, July 24, 2006, at her home, 286 Howardsville Turnpike, Stuarts Draft.

She was born February. 14, 1930, in Montebello, daughter of the late Clarence Henry and Maywood Sorrells Coffey.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Walton Page Bryant; one son, Timothy Scott Bryant; two sisters, Shirley Ann Maddox and Velma Margaret Quick; and one brother, Jerry D. ("JD") Fitzgerald.

Survivors include one daughter, Carolyn Jean Brogan and husband, Jimmy, of Faber; two sons, Larry Walton Bryant and fiancee, Karen Fitzgerald, of Stuarts Draft, and Jerry Dewayne Bryant and his wife, Debbie, of Stuarts Draft; six sisters, Vera Falls, Georgie Phillips and her husband, Delbert, both of Montebello, Betty Coffey of Lyndhurst, Vivian Allen, Josephine Carr and husband, Randolph, both of Stuarts Draft, and Geneive Moyer of Piney River; one brother, William H. Coffey and his wife, Kitty, of Stuarts Draft; six grandchildren, Glen, Tamala, Mary, Evelyn, Michael and Joseph; five great-grandchildren, Lori, Anthony, Megan, Shirley and Hunter; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 26, 2006, at Mt. Paran Baptist Church by Pastors Brian Reade and Billy Coffey. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Don Taylor, Sonny Taylor, Marvin Phillips, Billy Coffey, David Coffey, Danny Bryant, Michael Brogan and Donald McGann.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dale Allen, Chris Marshall, John David Reade, Milton Bryant, Robert Bryant, Wendell Bryant, Steven Bryant, Gregory Roberts and Douglas Bryant.

The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m. Tuesday, July 25, 2006, at Reynolds Funeral Service of Stuarts Draft.
