950. Hiram Coffey was born circa 1816 in Indiana. He served during the Civil War with the 154th Illinois Infantry Regiment.³⁸⁹⁹ He was on the tax rolls in Bean Blossom Twp., Monroe Co., IN in May 1864 and was taxed $2.00 on one two horse carriage. In 1865 he was again taxed on the carriage and a watch in the amount of $2.00.

Hiram Coffey and Elvira Coe were married on 15 October 1843 in Jeffersonville, Clark Co., IN.^{3900,3901,3902} They^{^{3900,3901,3902}} appeared in the census on 1 June 1860 in McLean Co., IL.³⁹⁰³ They^³⁹⁰³ appeared in the census on 16 July 1870 in Bloomington Twp., Monroe Co., IN.³⁹⁰⁴ Elvira Coe was born on 20 January 1820 in Brown Co., OH. She appeared in the census on 17 June 1880 in De Soto, Dallas Co., IA.³⁹⁰⁵ Elvira died in Illinois on 13 April 1895 and was buried at Hopewell Cemetery in Downs, McLean Co., IL in April 1895 .³⁹⁰⁶
