James was born on April 9, 1918 in Tazwell, TN, the son of Orlando and Orleana Coffey. The youngest of eight children, James was a veteran of the United States Army during WW II. He was an assembly worker for General Motors for 20 years, retiring in 1980. James attended Towne Blvd. Church of God. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers General, Emmet and Paris Coffey; sisters Lillie Dalton, Ella Carpenter, Delta Coffey and Elsie Jaynes. James is survived by Beulah Seal Coffey, his devoted wife of 64 years; daughter Mary Hall and husband John; son Tony Coffey and wife Faith with grandson Carson Coffey. Visitation will be Thursday, January 10, 2008 5:00-8:00 at Baker-Stevens Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will be Friday, January 11, 2008 at 10:30 am also at the Funeral Home. Beulah Seal was born on 9 April 1925 in Sneedville, Hancock Co., TN. Beulah died in Tennessee on 5 August 2011. Mom was born in Sneedville Tennessee to Mac and Nan Seal. Mom is proceeded in death by her parents, her loving and faithful husband, two infant sons and a wonderful and loving son-in-law John Hall. Mom is survived by her daughter Mary Hall, son Tony (Faith) Coffey, two grandchildren Carson and Charles Coffey, her sister Pauline Johns and several nieces and nephews. Throughout Mom's life, she was a faithful servant to her savior Jesus Christ. Most recently, before disabilities, Mom attended Towne Blvd Church of God. Mom was a mother that selflessly cared for her family and would make any child proud to call her Mom. Mom had many friends, some as close as family. We are so deeply thankful for every prayer, visit, meal, card and call made on Mom's behalf during the past years and her nursing home stay. If Heaven's beauty could be increased, it is by knowing our loved ones are there to greet us someday. Visitation will be on Tuesday, August 9th from 5-7:00 pm at the Baker- Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home with a Celebration of Life Service on Wednesday, August 10th at 2:00 pm with Pastor Mitchell Burch and Jerry Minor officiating.
