He is survived by 5 step-children; two sister[s], Velva Dalton of Thorn, Hill, TN, Ina Atkins of Rutledge; brothers Charlie Jeff Coffey of Miamisburg, Ohio and Jessie Willard Coffey of Dayton, Ohio. Funeral service were held at the Coffey Funeral Home in Tazewell, TN, with Rev. Eugene Dalton and Rev. Freddie Parker officiating. Pallbearers were Coy and Wayne Dalton, Elmer Owners, Frankie Atkins, Hugh Atkins and Alvin Whitt. Burial in Davidson Cemetery in Thorn Hill, TN Rev. John Thomas Coffey and Ethel Raines were married.
