There has been some discussion concerning this son's name. Some have said that he was named David, not Daniel. The following is my findings:

In the 1860 family census he was named as D. F. Jr.; in 1870 as Daniel; In 1880 as Daniel F.; In 1900 as Dannie; Daniel in 1910 and Daniel F. in 1920.

Daniel Franklin Coffey Jr. and Nancy Margaret "Maggie" Hill were married on 14 October 1874 in Scott Co., IL.^9670,9671 They^{^9670,9671} appeared in the census on 8 June 1880 in Chambersburg, Pike Co., IL.⁹⁶⁷² They^⁹⁶⁷² appeared in the census on 5 June 1900 in Brunswick, Chariton Co., MO.⁹⁶⁷³ Daniel and Maggie^⁹⁶⁷³ appeared in the census on 20 April 1910 in Dodge City, Ford Co., KS.⁹⁶⁷⁴ They^⁹⁶⁷⁴ appeared in the census on 14 January 1920 in Kansas City, Jackson Co., MO.⁹⁶⁷⁵

Maggie gave birth to 10 children, but in 1910, only seven were still living. Nancy Margaret "Maggie" Hill, daughter of Green Hill and Hannah Garrison, was born on 10 March 1856 in Illinois. Nancy died at 5001 College Ave. in Kansas City, Jackson Co., MO on 14 December 1944 of chronic myocarditis and was buried at Memorial Park Cemetery in Kansas City, Jackson Co., MO on 16 December 1944 .^9676,9677

He lived in Brunswick, Chariton Co., MO on 5 June 1900. Russell lived with his parents in Dodge City, Ford Co., KS on 20 April 1910. He lived with his parents in Kansas City, Jackson Co., MO on 14 January 1920. Russell died of arteriosclerotic heart disease on 28 January 1951 at the age of 73 at Jackson Convalescent Home in Prairie, Jackson Co., MO and was buried at Memorial Park Cemetery in Kansas City, Jackson Co., MO on 30 January 1951.^9678,9679
7243	ii.	Burton B. Coffey was born in February 1880 in Illinois. He lived with his parents in Chambersburg, Pike Co., IL on 8 June 1880. He lived in Brunswick, Chariton Co., MO on 5 June 1900. Burton lived with his parents in Dodge City, Ford Co., KS on 20 April 1910. Burton died in Missouri on 5 March 1914 and was buried at Fairmont Cemetery in Cape Girardeau, Cape Girardeau Co., MO in March 1914 .⁹⁶⁸⁰
7244	iii.	Elizabeth "Lizzie" Coffey was born in May 1883 in Illinois. She lived with her parents in Brunswick, Chariton Co., MO on 5 June 1900. She lived with her parents in Dodge City, Ford Co., KS on 20 April 1910. Lizzie lived with her parents in Kansas City, Jackson Co., MO on 14 January 1920.
