According to family tradition, Jacob and Della eventually founded a town in Wyoming bearing their surname and ran the post office and perhaps a dry goods store there.

The same history tells us that Jacob and Della were parents of six children. However, the two census records that they are found in (1910 and 1920) there were no children in the family. Jacob Dillinger was born on 12 October 1883 in Tennessee. Jacob died in Campbell Co., WY on 14 April 1945. Mount Pisgah Cemetery in Gillette, Campbell Co., WY in April 1945 .
