Gideon Wolfe, son of George Wolfe and Jane Allen, was born on 6 May 1836 in Hawkins Co., TN. Gideon died in Wallowa, Wallowa Co., OR on 18 February 1917.¹²⁰⁷⁴

There is a Gideon J. Wolfe family enumerated in the 1910 Wallowa Co., OR census. Gideon is age 25, and was born in Tennessee. He is likely another son of Gideon and Lydia, but no proof at this time. See Wallowa Co. census, Dist. 293, page 239B, dwelling 43.

The 1910 census for Wallowa Co. lists Jeptha as a nephew of Gideon. If this is true, then Gideon J. is probably the third child. The question then is who does Jeptha belong to?
