Bertha Loretta Coffey Phillips, 82, of Lexington, and a former resident of Blowing Rock, died Tuesday, July 9, 2013, in Lexington.

A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Austin & Barnes Funeral Home Chapel by Minister Brock Shanks. Burial will follow in the Boone Fork Cemetery.

Visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service.

She was born Dec. 24, 1930, in Caldwell County to William Glenn and Annie R. Coffey. Loretta was a member of the Lexington Church of Christ and a homemaker.

Surviving are her four children, Virginia Loretta Sherman and husband Roy of Linwood, Nona Mullis and husband Bobby of Stewart, Va., and Lennie Phillips and wife Linda and Dorothy Humphrey and husband Bobby, all of Lexington; three sisters, Shirley Willard and Linda Sipe of Taylorsville and Lorene Tedder of Statesville; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

William Blaine "Judd" Phillips and Kathleen Winebarger were married. Kathleen Winebarger was born on 31 January 1921 in Ashe Co., NC. Kathleen died in Conway, Horry Co., SC on 18 September 2013 and was buried at Browns Chapel Cemetery, in Blowing Rock, Watauga Co., NC in September 2013 .³⁰⁹⁰²

Kathleen Winebarger Phillips, age 92, of Conway, South Carolina, a former resident of Boone, died September 18, 2013, at Conway Medical Center in Conway, South Carolina. 

She was born January 31, 1921 in Ashe County and was a retired food service employee for Appalachian State University. 

She is survived by three sons, John Seagle and wife Lucy of Cherryville, North Carolina, Larry Seagle and wife Debbie of Poway, California, and Victor Seagle and wife Tammy of Conway, South Carolina. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, three great great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Blaine Phillips; one son, David Seagle; one brother, Victor Winebarger, and two sisters, Georgie Phillips and Mildred Greer. 

Funeral services were held at Rutherwood Baptist Church officiated by Reverend Gary Lawrence and Jeff Seagle. Burial in Brown's Chapel Cemetery.
