He served in the military the US Navy and was a Lt./JG between 1942 and 1946. He lived at 865 E. Silver St. in Tucson, Pima Co., AZ from 1 August 1993 to 1 June 2004.⁴⁶⁵⁹² Francis died in Tucson, Pima Co., AZ on 25 April 2002.⁴⁶⁵⁹³

In an article headlines "Arizonan Who Was Born Here Passes At 62", Kossuth County Advance, Algona, IA, Jul, 26, 1955:

"The Advance has received from Francis I. Coffey, of the Fran Coffey Printing Service, 3525 E. Speedway, Tucson, Ariz., a July monthly copy of the Wind Devil, an unofficial internal information bulletin of Marana Air Base, Ariz., published by Darr Aero Tech., Inc. This is an 8-page, 9 1/2 by 12 1/2 folder giving news of the base and the Darr company.

The folder accompanied a letter from Mr. Coffey calling attention to a first page report of the sudden death of Hal S. Darr, president of the company, who, on a business arrand, suffered a fatha heart attack at Chicago..."

WELLMAN - Mr. and Mrs. Francis Coffey and their two small daughters, Mary Lou and Patricia Irene of Tuscon, Ariz., were dinner guests at Francis' uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. J. Wilson Coffey Saturday, having come over from Washington where they were visiting Mr. and Mrs. Ed Morrison, Jr., and family.

Francis was in the Wellman Advance office for a number of years as is now assistant manager of a commpercial printing plant at Tuscon.

Mrs. Lola Coffey of Pasadena, Calif., met them at Flagstaff, Ariz., and stopped at Blair, Nebr., to visit Max Coffey and family. She will come to Washington later.Bess Howell⁸⁴³³ was born on 22 April 1919 in Tennessee. Bess died in Tucson, Pima Co., AZ on 1 December 2002.⁴⁶⁵⁹⁴
