926. Winston Alloway Strange was born on 13 March 1821 in Adair Co., KY. Winston died in Glenville, Adair Co., KY on 6 January 1900 and was buried at McClister Cemetery in Fairplay, Adair Co., KY in January 1900 .

Death of An Old Citizen

Last Saturday night Mr Winston A Strange, an old and highly respected citizen of Adair County died at his late residence in Glenville. He was about 75 years old and ranked as one of the best men in this section of the State For many years he was an active business man and in all his dealings. Honesty was his guide. At one time he was in good circumstances and was remarkably kind to his neighbors who were less fortunate. He has gone but it Will be years before the Glenville people will forget his many kind deeds.

The deceased leaves a wife, several children and a large number of relatives. He was an uncle of Mr J K A Strange this city. One son and a number of grandchildren reside in Texas. The funeral took place Sunday afternoon, the Masonic Fraternity conducting the services. The News extends sympathy to the sorrowing relatives.

Winston Alloway Strange and Mildred Walkup were married on 14 April 1884 in Adair Co., KY.³⁸⁰³ Mildred Walkup was born on 1 July 1835 in Kentucky. Mildred died in Kentucky on 21 August 1902 and was buried at McClister Cemetery in Fairplay, Adair Co., KY in August 1902 .³⁸⁰⁴
