T. Coffey, 78, of Russell Springs, died Friday, Aug. 21, 1998 at Fair Oaks Nursing Home. He was born in Russell County on Sept. 27, 1919, to Talitha Taylor Coffey and Cassius Clay Coffey, both of whom preceded him in death. Mr. Coffey was also preceded in death by one daugter - Meredith Coffey. He is survived by his wife - Dicy Roy Coffey of Russell Springs; two daughters - Tena Coffey of Jamestown and Janice Clem of Louisville; four brothers, - the Rev. Donnie Coffey, Jimmy Clay Coffey and Paul Coffey, all of Russell Springs, and Doug Coffey of Altanta, Ga.; three sisters - Ilith Whittle and Jennie Lou Hart, both of Russell Springs, and Imogene Cain of Nancy. Mr. Coffey was a farmer, and a member of Union Independent Baptist Church. Funeral services were Monday, Aug. 24, at 1 p.m. at Bernard Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Donnie L. Coffey and the Rev. Charles Whaley officiating. Special music provided by the Blakey Quartet. Pallbearers were Larry Whittle, Lance Coffey, Troy Coffey, Tyler Coffey, Arlis Roy and Arlie Roy.
