He appeared in the census on 9 April 1930 in Nash, Massies Mill Dist., Nelson Co, VA.¹⁴⁷⁷⁰ Henry died on 6 April 1963 at the age of 73 at University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville, VA and was buried at White Rock Cemetery in Montebello, Nelson Co., VA.¹⁴⁷⁷¹

Henry Massie Taylor, 72, died at the University of Virginia Hospital, Charlottesville, yesterday at 10:30 a.m.

He was born March 12, 1890 in Nelson Co., a son of the late William H. and Martha Coffey Taylor. He was preceded in death by his wife, Zimena Taylor. He was a member of the White Rock Christian Church in Montebello and is survived by three sons, Orcie Taylor of Route 2, Waynesboro, Elwood Taylor and Willard Taylor, both of Waynesboro; one brother, Lafayette Taylor, Massies Mill and nine grand children.

A funeral service will be held at the Evergreen Christian Church in Nelson Co. Saturday at 1 p.m., conducted by Dennis Harris and Hatley A. Mabry, ministers.

Interment will be in the White Rock Christian Church Cemetery. The body will remain at McDow-Tyree Funeral Home until 11 a.m. Saturday when it will be taken to the church.

Active pallbearers will be Ottis Fitzgerald, George Truslow, Ralph Campbell, Earl Fitzgerald, Chester Fitzgerald, and Edward Mason. Honorary pallbearers will be Cliel Taylor, Donald Taylor, Ronald Taylor, Larry Taylor, Roger Fitzgerald, and Roger Truslow.

Henry Massie Taylor and Zina Coffey were married on 5 December 1911 in Nelson Co., VA.¹⁴⁷⁷² They¹⁴⁷⁷² appeared in the census on 9 January 1920 in Montebello Pct., Nelson Co., VA.¹⁴⁷⁷³ Zina Coffey, daughter of Eli Davis Coffey and Frances Catherine Coffey, was born in June 1892 in Virginia. She lived with her parents in Massies Mill, Nelson Co, VA on 15 June 1900. Zina died on 27 February 1927 at the age of 34 in Nelson Co., VA and was buried at White Rock Cemetery in Montebello, Nelson Co., VA.^14774,14775
