They were divorced on 13 June 1922 in Gem Co., ID. Clara A. Beard was born on 26 November 1900 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Co., OK. Viola, died Tuesday in St Elizabeth Hospital. Mrs Alsup was born at Oklahoma City,Oklahoma. She moved to Emmett, Idaho, as a child, and to Yakima in 1922. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs Betty Thompson, of Yakima, Mrs Dorothy Rohlman of Granite Falls, and Mrs Jean Welker of Roseburg, Oregon; her two sons, Ray Alsup of Millton-Freewater, and Robert Alsup of Orlando, Flordia. 11 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. Mrs Grace Coffey, 27, wife of Lester G Coffey of Emmett, who was fatally burned late Sunday afternoon and died Tuesday night at a Caldwell hospital, was laid to rest in the Riverdale [sic] Cemetery at Emmett Thursday afternoon. Funeral services were held at the Methodist Church in Emmett. Mrs Coffey lighted a fire in a kitchen stove after having finished cleaning some clothing in the room which was filled with the fumes of the cleaning fluid. An explosion occurred, severely burning her. She was brought to the Caldwell sanitarium Monday, but so much of her body had been burned that recovery was impossible. She is survived by her husband, and four children, Billie, aged 8, Kathryn 7, Lester 6 and Buddy 4, also her mother Mrs Eleanora Cast of Omak, Wash, two sisters, Mrs Alta Sherwood, and Mrs Nettie Couch of Emmett, and two brothers, Burt Cast of Omak, Wash., and Carl Cast of Emmett. Mrs Coffey was born Oct 09, 1903 in Spokane. She has been a resident of Emmett during the greater part of her life, having attended the Emmett High School. She was married to Lester G Coffey on July 1921. She was a member of the Methodist Church. Lester George Coffey and Alma Grace Cast had the following children:

She was born in York County, Nebraska, Dec 17, 1900. She worked as a restaurant cook. Mrs Coffey is survived by a daughter, Mrs Kenneth Robertson of Federal Way, Washington. Her husband, Lester Coffey, preceded her in death. A graveside funeral service will be held ot Olney Cemetery in Pendleton on Monday at 11 am. |
