She married Joseph M. Sherrill on March 25, 1900, in Lenoir, N.C. She came to Tacoma by train in 1901. In 1913, she moved with her husband and two children to Roseburg, Ore. They settled in Mount Vernon in 1925. She was a member of the First Christian Church for more than 60 years. Her mother and a sister each lived to 103 years of age. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Albert and Reba Sherrill of Everett; a grandson, Ralph Sherrill of Spokane; a granddaughter, Marilyn Courrier of Everett; a daughter-in-law, Midge Sherrill of Roseburg, Ore.; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Memorials are suggested to the First Christian Church of Mount Vernon, or Evergreen Terrace Nursing Home. Funeral services for Nina Victoria Sherrill will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 6, 1985, at Hawthorne Funeral Chapel, Mount Vernon. Inurnment will follow in Hawthorne Lawn Memorial Park. He was also known as Flavius Josephus Sherrill.
