Judson J. Coffey, 60, of Boone, died in a Charlotte hospital at 6:30 last night after a short illness. The body will remain at J. M. Harry's until it is taken to Boone for burial today.

Mr. Coffey was a prominent merchant of the western part of the state. He is survived by Mrs. Coffey and two sons, R. F. Coffey and J. E. Coffey, all of Boone.
