Mrs. Lorene Elizabeth Coffey died Sunday, July 24, 2011 at the Baytown Rehabilitation Center. Lorene was a Baytown resident for the previous ten years. She was born April 10, 1915 in Purdon to John and Nettie Prince.

She married James Cornelius Coffey in 1931 in Corsicana where she resided until moving to Baytown.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers and two sisters.

Lorene is survived by sons James C. Coffey and wife Karen, of Baytown, and Harold D. Coffey and wife Nan of Van. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 27, 2011 in Corsicana under the direction of Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home with Rev. James Coffey and Rev. Roy Clute officiating. Interment will follow at Hamilton-Beeman Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jim Coffey, Jerry Coffey, Kazen Coffey, DeWitt Coffey, Patrick Coffey, and David Strickland.
