Frank Williams of Asheville, an event of much interest here and throughout the state, was solemnized in a ceremony of impressive simplicity and beauty Tuesday morning at the home of the bride's mother. Rev. P. A. Hicks, pastor of the bride, officiated, using the beautiful ring ceremony. Mrs. Williams, who is the attractive and popular daughter of the late Edgar S. Coffey and Mrs. Coffey, comes of distinguished ancestry on both sides, members of her family having been prominently identified with the social, political and religious life of both Virginia and North Carolina. She received her education at Appalachian college, Boone, and North Carolina College for Women, Greensboro, and has since filled a responsible position with the Watauga County bank. The groom, formerly of Lumberton, was educated at the University of North Carolina, and is at present a successful business man of Asheville. He is well and favorably known in Boone, where he has been connected with various business enterprises. |
