Coffey, prominent Logan county farmer residing four miles west of Broadwell, died at his home at 11:15 o'clock this morning. The decedent was born Jan. 13, 1856, near Pleasant Plains, Sangamon county. He married on Feb. 21, 1888, Miss Amanda Wilcox. The wife and the following children survive: Mrs. Stella Shockey, Elkhart; John Coffey, Middletown; Alice Allison, Greenview, and James Coffey at home. Two brothers, J. T. Coffey, Greenview, and Nathan Coffey, Brunstown, Fla., and two sisters, Lavina Messersmith, Petersburg, and Mrs. Lee Young, Lasanimos, Colo., also survive. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Christian church at Sweetwater. Interment in Sweetwater cemetery. James Hardin Coffey and Amanda E.
