2354. Elizabeth Abigail "Abby" Jordan was born on 22 April 1842 in Hancock Co. TN. She applied for pension of Jun. 9, 1971 and was placed on the CW pension rolls in Wildie, Rockcastle Co., KY on 15 October 1917 for her husband's service.⁸⁷⁷⁷ She lived with her son in law Charles W. Coffey in Wildie, Rockcastle Co., KY on 3 April 1930. Abby died of senile debility on 14 April 1936 at the age of 93 in Rockcastle Co., KY and was buried at Marvel Coffey Cemetery in Hummel, Rockcastle Co., KY.^{8778,8779,8780}

Elizabeth Abigail "Abby" Jordan and Marvel Coffey were married on 20 December 1859 in Hancock Co. TN. They appeared in the census on 18 June 1860 in Hancock Co., TN.⁸⁷⁷³ They⁸⁷⁷³ appeared in the census on 30 June 1870 in Rockcastle Co., KY.⁸⁷⁷⁴ Abby and Marvel⁸⁷⁷⁴ appeared in the census on 10 June 1880 in Rockcastle Co., KY.⁸⁷⁷⁵ They⁸⁷⁷⁵ appeared in the census on 20 April 1910 in Orlando Pct., Rockcastle Co., KY.⁸⁷⁷⁶ Marvel Coffey, son of Benjamin Coffey and Nancy Hayes, was born on 17 March 1841 in Grainger Co., TN. He enlisted on 4 July 1861 in the Co. C, 26th Tenn Infantry .⁸⁷⁶⁸ He was discharged in June 1864 in Point Lookout, St. Mary's Co., MD

Marvel had been captured and was in prison at Point Lookout, MD at the end of the war.

Marvel applied for a Soldier's pension at Langford, Rockcastle Co., KY for service during the civil war with Co. C., 26th TN Infantry Regiment of volunteers on 22 September 1913. He was placed on the pension rolls in Langford, Rockcastle Co., KY on Oct. 17, 1913. ⁸⁷⁶⁹ Marvel died on 25 March 1917 at the age of 76 in Rockcastle Co., KY and was buried at Marvel Coffey Cemetery in Hummel, Rockcastle Co., KY.^{8770,8771,8772}
Some of his descendants say that his name was William Marvel, or Marvel William. He did have a son and a grandson named William Marvel, or Marvel William.

Marvel and family was not found in the 1900 or 1910 Kentucky census.
