Mrs. Mary Docia Fitzgerald, 81, of Beech Grove died Sunday (April 29, 1962) at 5:40 a.m. at the Waynesboro Community Hospital, where she had been a patient for the past week.

Mrs. Fitzgerald was a member of the White Rock Christian Church of Nelson Co.. She was born August 3, 1880 in Nelson Co., daughter of the late Alexander and Sarah Fitzgerald Coffey. Mrs. Fitzgerald is survived by her husband, Emmett B. Fitzgerald, Beech Grove; and Mrs. Lena Coffey, Lyndhurst; also 21 grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren. The body will remain at the Etter Funeral Home until noon Tuesday when it will be placed in the Beech Grove Christian Church, where the funeral service will be conducted at two p.m. by the Rev. J. D. Farries, with burial in the church cemetery.

Emmett Booker Fitzgerald and Mary Docia Coffey had the following children:
