Martha V. Simmons was born on 30 March 1909 in Highland, Pulaski Co., VA. Martha died on 3 May 1992 at the age of 83 in Staunton, Independent City., VA and was buried at Augusta Memorial Park in Waynesboro, Independent City, VA.²⁸⁴⁹⁸
